I don’t know what’s wrong with my brain.
I started out the day with crying over the shit my mom did to me (which is, unfortunately, more common than you’d think)
And at some point, my brain was like “Hey, I know you’re sad about your mom and your past and the fact that it basically affects your every waking thought in the present, but you know what’s even sadder?
“Mickey Mouse is dead.”
And since that moment, I’ve just been sitting here watching Mickey Mouse cartoons and having feels about the late, great Wayne Allwine.
I started off with the Three Musketeers, which I’ve been wanting to see since I first played Dream Drop Distance. Oh, god, when Mickey and Minnie had that “love at first sight” moment, I just felt this wave of sympathy for Russi Taylor wash over me because she had that and now her Mickey is gone.
And now I’m just watching shorts with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy.
… Damn it, I miss him.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing Wayne Allwine.
Just … Every time I see 90s era Mickey Mouse cartoons or early Kingdom Hearts games, I remember how amazing he was and I remember how much I miss that, and every time I see newer Kingdom Hearts games, I get sad because the voice actor isn’t Wayne Allwine anymore because he can’t be.
This is the only celebrity who’s died who I actively miss.
Mickey Mouse should be immortal.
